Hafa Adai Artists,

Jan and Marvin gave a presentation on Chapter 12: Teaching Art to Children with Special Needs, their featured artist was Martin Ramirez and their project was to design and construct a square cube made of drinking straws yet strong enough to support the weight of a bowl filled with water. Both groups were successful in the allotted time.

Next up was Angie and Connie with Chapter 30: Crafts; their featured artist was Dixie Redmond and the class project was to make a paper mache Apple pencil holder.

Both groups provided all the needed supplies in order for a successful project, the only problem encountered was "time flies too fast when your having fun".

Just a reminder that you have a reflection on each featured artists (ex. Doug Rankin) or your experience in completing an art project (ex. Banana Print) your choice.

If you've done an extra credit assignment please label your folder Extra Credit, to ensure you get those points, everything counts.

And lastly 4 lesson plans are required in the final product.

Take Care Guys,
Ken

Title: Paper Projects
Good job on the set up of your amazing activities. The students were really interacting and having fun with those activities we set out. We get to see the child in them again.
Next Presenters: 4/17/10

Good Luck to you all
Please follow the rubric.
Ms. Pam distributed the rubric because according to her, the two groups did not follow it. For the others, no excuses, she explained it already so follow it.

• Reduction of Independent Study
According to Mrs. Pam, there was complain that Saturday class were not cleaning up as good as the other classes. Please let’s remind ourselves that we are teachers in training and we have to role model cleaning up after ourselves before we put it down as one of our rules in the classroom.
